Madelyn and Tom's wedding was everything a country celebration should be: relaxed, colourful, and full of European inspired charm. Surrounded by 60 to 100 of their favourite people at Redbank Events in Barnawartha, Victoria, the day unfolded with an easy kind of joy, the sort that comes when a couple simply lets themselves soak it all in. Madelyn was breathtaking in Martina by Rara Avis, a strapless gown with a daring split, and the very silhouette she once swore she'd never wear.
FINDING THE GOWN
Madelyn's journey to her gown began the moment she stepped through the doors of Ivory Bride. "Finding my wedding dress was such a special experience, and Kayla made it even more memorable from the moment I walked in," she shares. "She made me feel so welcomed and calm, and she really took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Having my two friends there made it so fun, and Kayla honestly felt like an extra friend joining in on the excitement."
What drew Madelyn to Ivory Bride in the first place? The variety she'd noticed compared to other boutiques, and the fact that so many brides she knew had already found their gown here.
"Kayla was accommodating and very transparent. She made sure I was aware of different options with dresses, such as prices, but also different ways to style them. I really appreciated her advice, which helped on a day that can sometimes feel overwhelming."
Madelyn's advice for future brides:
"Try on all sorts of styles (I swore I would never wear a strapless) and enjoy it! You will find one you love."
THE WEDDING DAY
The couple celebrated at Redbank Events, a country style venue on the Murray River in Barnawartha, Victoria. Madelyn describes the day in three words: relaxed, European inspired, and colourful. For her, the most meaningful moment came as the light softened: having their sunset photos taken, and pausing to take the whole day in.
